Tim Steidten behind-the-scenes claim emerges at West Ham after £3.5bn Daniel Kretinsky reveal

Daniel Kretinsky did not appoint Tim Steidten at West Ham as he plays a very hands-off role at the club, according to Six Foot Two.

According to the reliable Hammers news website on Friday (4 August), Kretinsky is busy building his European company empire and his investment in France alone could reach up to £3.5billion.

Steidten’s appointment was signed off by the board of directors – which consists of two of Kretinsky’s trusted allies.

Chaos

Steidten and David Moyes do not appear to be seeing eye to eye on most things this summer and that’s a real worry for the club.

The feeling was that once the Declan Rice money arrived, things would improve drastically and they would be signing players left, right and centre.

However, it’s already the first week of August and no new senior players have walked through the door.

Moyes will surely not be impressed by how he’s been treated after delivering an unlikely European trophy and bringing the Hammers their first bit of silverware in decades.

If the board did not plan to back him this summer, not sacking him at the end of the season, did not make any sense.

He could’ve left on a high and would have his legacy intact as one of the most successful managers in the club’s history.

In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
