Tim Sherwood makes Manchester City transfer admission on West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta
Tim Sherwood has made an admission on West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta had he been at Manchester City this season.
The Champions League and Premier League holders wanted to sign the 26-year-old in the summer transfer window.
Sherwood believes instead of a left wing role, he would be playing as a number 10 for Pep Guardiola’s side.

The former Tottenham manager told Premier League Productions (17 December, 21:31), ” Super ability. Otherwise Manchester City wouldn’t be courting him. Weight of pass is fantastic. I like him in central areas. If he was at Manchester City, he would play as a 10. Good awareness. His passing range is absolutely fantastic.”
World class
Paqueta’s resilience and stellar performances for West Ham have proven invaluable, especially considering Manchester City’s pursuit of the Brazilian in the summer.
Despite the Hammers resisting City’s advances and holding onto the midfielder, he has showcased remarkable professionalism by not succumbing to any signs of discontent.
Instead, he has seamlessly integrated into the team’s setup and, notably, embraced a left-wing role.

Paqueta’s adaptability and versatility have been key to West Ham’s success, as he has not only accepted a different position but elevated his game to new heights.
His impact on the left wing has been transformative, providing a dynamic attacking threat and contributing defensively.
His technical skills, vision, and flair have added a new dimension to the Hammers’ attacking play.
Beyond his on-field contributions, the midfielder’s positive attitude and commitment have been influential in fostering a harmonious team environment.
In other West Ham news, the highest source at the Hammers has issued an update on a 2023 award winner to replace David Moyes as sack update emerges.
