Thilo Kehrer agent to jet into London for talks over West Ham United move

The agent of Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer is set to fly into London on Thursday to engage in talks over a move to West Ham United.

That is according to Knees Up Mother Brown who report that the Irons are yet to come to an agreement with the French champions over the 25-year-old’s move.

The Parisiens see Kehrer as surplus to requirements but are holding out to try and earn £16.9million for the sale of the Germany international this transfer window.

He only has 12 months left on his contract at the Parc Des Princes but West Ham are not currently willing to match the asking price set by PSG.

But his agents scheduled talks with folks at the London Stadium could begin to turn the tide and he may also start to negotiate for AS Monaco left-back Ismail Jakobs who shares the same agency after the Irons submitted an enquiry for the 22-year-old.

Right now, Kehrer is almost desperate for his agent to work some magic and come to some kind of personal agreement with the Hammers because that would increase the pressure massively on his club to let him go as soon as possible.

And for David Moyes, it is the sooner the better as he currently only has one fit centre-half at Rush Green which makes it very difficult to muster up some consistency.

Right-back Ben Johnson had to fill in alongside Kurt Zouma against the reigning champions Manchester City and it did not work all that well with Erling Haaland scoring twice.

Craig Dawson and Nayef Aguerd are still on the sidelines for the trip to Nottingham Forest on Sunday and Kehrer would have to join in double quick time to be available for that game but it is worth trying at the very least.

These talks will obviously be crucial and maybe a move will have surfaced by the time Kehrer’s agent leaves London.
