Terem Moffi transfer update emerges amid West Ham United and Everton links
Lorient striker Terem Moffi is reportedly unwilling to change his mind despite receiving approaches from West Ham and Everton in January.
According to Foot Mercato [23 January], he only wants to hear from Nice and consider a move to the French club and not the Premier League.
This comes as a blow for the Hammers who were keen on signing the Nigeria international before the window closes.
Move on
Danny Ings has signed from Aston Villa and there are now three senior strikers at the club.
There’s no need to sell Michail Antonio to Wolves if another number nine is not being signed.
Moffi seemed like he was a good option, but he does not appear to be keen on moving to the London Stadium.
West Ham have issues in the middle of the park and not up front and they need to focus on signing a central midfielder before the window closes.
Hopefully, they bring in a quality name who can fit in perfectly with Declan Rice and Lucas Paqueta and will not need them to adapt to his game.
The chances of that happening, however, are low, as the club do not seem to be closing in on signing anybody in that area.
We’re hoping that things take a turn for the better in the coming days as this squad is good enough to challenge for another European spot and David Moyes certainly must do better with the players he’s got at his disposal or he deserves the sack in the coming weeks.
