Stuart Pearce gives West Ham injury update on Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen
Stuart Pearce has provided an injury update on key West Ham duo Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen ahead of their clash with Sevilla on Thursday.
Antonio limped off injured during the Hammers’ win over Aston Villa on Sunday, while Bowen missed the game due to the foot injury he picked up against Liverpool last week.
The former England left-back and current first-team coach at the London Stadium phoned in to talkSPORT [March 14, 9:20], and shared an update on the availability of the two attackers ahead of Thursday’s huge Europa League clash.

“Well as I say, firstly Mic we’ll get him in this morning and have a little look at him and see how he is,” he said. “Hopefully he’s not too bad.
“Jarrod picked up a slight injury at Liverpool a week or so ago so he’s still sort of on the treatment table.”
West Ham trail 1-0 from the first leg in Spain last week, and with no away goals must claim a two-goal win this week to progress into the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Blow
The news coming from the London Stadium there doesn’t sound too positive, which is a massive blow for the Hammers in arguably their biggest game of the season.
While Andriy Yarmolenko was able to come into the team as a substitute and find the back of the net in an emotional game, it’s hard to overlook his poor contribution throughout the season so far.

He’s been lacklustre for much of the campaign and now that David Moyes could be forced into relying on him as his only real outlet for goals that’s a big problem for the team.
The team will now need to re-jig and sort themselves out ahead of that huge game and find a way to adapt in order to improve without their key players and keep their charge for European success going.
If the injuries prove to be severe ones, then it will almost certainly end their chances of finishing inside the top four also and this excellent season could have nothing to show for it in the end.
