Steve Bruce shares Newcastle team news, Magpies trio missing West Ham clash

Steve Bruce has shared his Newcastle team news with a number of players missing for the clash with West Ham United.

The Hammers welcome Newcastle to the London Stadium on Saturday evening as the Premier League finally kicks off once again.

Bruce will be without four of his players straight from the off, with one of those new signing Ryan Fraser who is still getting up to speed.

Daily Mail journalist Craig Hope shared the update on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday, with three others missing.

Martin Dubravka, Paul Dummett and Ciaran Clark are all definite to miss the clash with the Irons, who will be looking to get off to the perfect start.

New signings Jamal Lewis and Callum Wilson are described as ready to go, although it is uncertain whether they will start or not.

What about West Ham?

Issa Diop and Declan Rice should be fit and ready after coming through the international break in different ways.

Rice completed games against both Iceland and Denmark for England with relative ease in the Nations League, with Diop returning to training in that timeframe.

One of the big doubts may be Tomas Soucek. The midfielder was in the middle of the COVID-19 scare in the Czech Republic camp this week.

He has returned three clear tests but is still classed as a doubt due to a confusion in rulings between the Czechs and England in their quarantining rules.

Apart from that scare, it appears that Moyes should have a strong squad to choose from for this opening clash that he will be expected to win.
