Stan Collymore shares prediction of West Ham clash v Bournemouth

West Ham will take on Bournemouth in the Premier League on Monday night (24 October), and Stan Collymore has predicted a victory for the Hammers.

David Moyes’s side are without a win in the last two games in the Premier League, but Collymore wrote on Sunday People (23 October, page 61) that he expects the Hammers to bounce back, predicting a 2-1 win.

Bournemouth suffered a 1-0 defeat last week against Southampton, which was their first in seven games.

Collymore wrote: “Bournemouth have been decent but West Ham will still prevail.”

Three points

The away form has been horrendous so far, and it’s the home form they must bank on.

The Hammers were really unlucky though against Liverpool. They should have picked up something from that game, given the number of chances they created.

Jarrod Bowen missed a penalty while Tomas Soucek missed a glorious opportunity to equalise toward the end.

The Cherries have been brilliant in recent games, and they are very difficult to beat.

West Ham

Having said that, West Ham must start the game strongly and pick up all three points. The problem for Moyes is that, he is probably struggling to select his best starting line-up.

He needs to make some bold decisions. Should he start with Said Benrahma after his impressive cameo performance against Liverpool? Should he start with both Antonio and Gianluca Scamacca together?

Hopefully, he will get his selection right on Monday night, and the Hammers will come up with a strong performance and three points.
