Stan Collymore predicts West Ham United v Aston Villa scoreline
Stan Collymore has predicted a “bore draw” ahead of West Ham United’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.
David Moyes’ men are looking to make it back-to-back home victories having fallen into the relegation zone after Bournemouth’s surprise win over Liverpool.
Villa travel to the London Stadium following consecutive top-flight wins, however, Collymore has suggested their poor away form will result in a goalless draw (12 March).
“Villa not so great on away days, a bore draw,” said Collymore (Sunday People, page 54, 12 March).
Tough test
Aston Villa have been transformed since Unai Emery took the job in the West Midlands. The Spaniard has turned their once fragile defence into a formidable unit to break down.

From West Ham’s perspective, this is another must-win game. Inconsistency this season has plagued the London Stadium, which has resulted in Moyes’ side being a regular feature in the bottom three. The recent win over Nottingham Forest appeared to be a turning point, but the Hammers came crashing back down to earth against Brighton.
Moyes has once again found himself under immense pressure at the London Stadium. Defeat today will, once again, have large swathes of the fan base demanding change. It’s a precarious situation for the Scot – and he needs a big performance against Villa.
The Conference League run has eased the Premier League pain, but Moyes will be judged purely on the Hammers’ domestic performance.
Sunday afternoon could prove to be another pivotal moment for the West Ham boss.
