Stan Collymore predicts outcome of West Ham United clash v Fulham

West Ham will face London rivals Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday (9 October) at the London Stadium, and Stan Collymore expects the home side to win.

While writing his column for The Sunday People (page 62), the popular football pundit has predicted a 2-0 win for the Hammers.

The Hammers are heading into the fixture on the back of two consecutive wins (Wolves and Anderlecht) in all competitions, and they will be in full confidence for this game.

Collymore wrote: “The Hammers will get firmly back on the horse with a solid victory to back up the recent win over Wolves.”

Confidence

After a poor start to the season, it seems the Hammers may have got their mojo back.

The results have improved after the international break. After the defeat against Everton, David Moyes’s side bounced back to winning ways with a 2-0 win against Wolves.

Big-money summer signing Gianluca Scamacca opened his Premier League goalscoring account on that day while Jarrod Bowen also got his name on the scoresheet.

Bowen has underperformed so far this season and he was dropped from the England squad as well against Germany. The next few weeks could be vital for him, as he looks to get to his best form.

West Ham

Scamacca also scored in the 1-0 win against Anderlecht, and Moyes will be very pleased to see his main striker gradually adapting well to his system.

Fulham have been brilliant under Marco Silva. They have picked up three wins already this season and won 3-2 against Nottingham Forest in their last away game.

The Cottagers need to bounce back after a demoralising 4-1 defeat against Newcastle in their previous fixture.
