Stan Collymore predicts outcome of Southampton v West Ham United

West Ham are on a roll here, and David Moyes will be looking to pick up all three points when they face Southampton in the Premier League away from home.

Stan Collymore while writing his column for The Sunday People (16 October, page 62) has predicted a 2-1 win for the Hammers.

The popular pundit suggests that another defeat for the Saints here could put further “pressure” on manager Ralph Hasenhuttl who could face the sack.

Collymore wrote: “The pressure is on Ralph Hasenhuttl and a West Ham win could signal the end of his reign.”

Three points

The Hammers need to maintain their momentum.

After a poor start to the season, it seems David Moyes’ side are settling in well. They have picked up four wins in a row, and have just suffered only one defeat in their last six games in all competitions.

In contrast, the Saints are going through a lot of problems. They have lost four games in a row, and five in their last six in the Premier League.

West Ham

The Hammers have picked up back-to-back wins in the league, against Fulham and Wolves, but this time they need to get full points away from home as well.

Some of their summer signings – Lucas Paqueta, Gianluca Scamacca and Thilo Kehrer – have been brilliant so far, and they are expected to get even better.

Moyes will be very pleased to see Jarrod Bowen amongst goals again, as he is on road to rediscovering the form he showed in the previous season.
