Stan Collymore predicts Manchester City v West Ham United score and who will win Premier League title
Stan Collymore has predicted an easy victory for Manchester City over West Ham United which would see them win the Premier League.
The Hammers travel to the Etihad Stadium in David Moyes’ final game as manager knowing a win would stop City from winning the title.
Predicting the final day scores on X (19 May), Collymore has backed the home side to secure a 3-0 result over West Ham.
The former striker has also backed Arsenal to win 2-0 over Everton at the Emirates who are certainly hoping for a Hammers win.
Although it will be tough, Moyes will be hopeful of an upset in his last dance.
Can West Ham beat Manchester City?
West Ham have been struggling for results in recent weeks with just one win, against Luton Town, in their last seven games in all competitions.
They have had a patchy record against the “bigger” sides with a 2-2 draw against Liverpool cancelled out by a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea
This inconsistency has been frustrating but considering there hasn’t been much to play for in recent weeks it isn’t surprising.
Against Man City, the Hammers’ defence is going to have to be watertight in order to keep the likes of Erling Haaland out.
It was a better performance against Luton which saw them be more defensively resolute despite conceding an early goal.
Three second-half goals were enough but to score that number from 24 shots on goal has to be improved upon at the Etihad.
With it being Moyes’ final game you would like to think the players will turn up and fancy themselves to cause an upset.
In other West Ham news, Nigel Reo-Coker believes Graham Potter would take West Ham United to the next level.
