Sky Sports pundit: Rarely-seen West Ham ace can add ‘quality’ under Moyes
West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere hasn’t exactly enjoyed one of the best seasons in his career.
The 28-year-old is yet to complete 90 minutes in the Premier League and has been suffering from numerous injuries once again – spreading question marks around his future.
The Athletic journalist David Ornstein revealed on Monday that Wilshere will resist any attempts to leave the London Stadium this month.
Paul Robinson has recently backed Wilshere to make a big impact at the London Stadium under Moyes when he returns.
“Course he can, especially with a new manager in there,” the Sky Sports pundit told Football Insider.
“If he is fit then he’s a good addition for any squad. I think he wants to get fit, he wants game time, but without a shadow of a doubt, he can make a difference at West Ham.
“Moyes has already made a difference and having a player of that quality come back into his squad, it’ll be like a new signing for him.”
Moyes will certainly be happy to get Wilshere back to full fitness soon, and he clearly has the quality to make a difference in East London.
Having said that, the England international will need to massively improve on his earlier performances from this campaign where he failed to register a single shot on goal or key pass [WhoScored].
If he can rediscover some of the form from earlier in his career, he could make a real change to the current struggles in the West Ham squad.
