Sky Sports pundit blown away by idea of Declan Rice swap exit at West Ham United with Kalvin Phillips linked
Sky Sports pundit Tim Sherwood would “love it” if West Ham swapped Declan Rice for Manchester City ace Kalvin Phillips this summer.
According to ExWHUemployee (24 May), David Moyes “really rates” Phillips, and Man City are in the mix to sign Rice alongside the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
It is understood that “there is a possibility of exchange deals being on offer” involving Rice, with Phillips mentioned as a player who could head to East London if the West Ham star went to the Etihad.

“If he (Rice) goes there (Man City), who will be happy going there?” Sherwood said on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast. “Kalvin Phillips? Pep (Guardiola) will give him a chance to succeed.
On a potential move to West Ham for Phillips, Sherwood said: “Love it. Great move.”

Superb move
West Ham star Rice looks certain to leave the London Stadium this summer, with the midfielder set to go out in the best way possible after lifting the Europa Conference League trophy with his beloved Hammers.
The England international unsurprisingly played a key role as his club defeated Fiorentina 2-1 on Wednesday (7 June), with the midfielder now set to embark on a new journey next season.
But his destination remains unclear, with plenty of clubs looking to acquire his services for the long term.
The Hammers will be devastated to lose such a key player, but they could ease those woes by bringing in another England international in Phillips.
Rice will leave big boots to fill, but West Ham could do much, much worse than turning to the former Leeds United man, who should be desperate for regular time on the pitch after his miserable first season under Pep Guardiola.
