Simon Jordan believes Kretinsky will complete a full takeover of West Ham at some point
Simon Jordan believes that Daniel Kretinsky will complete a full takeover of West Ham at some point.
The Czech billionaire completed his proposed investment in the club on Wednesday and now owns 27%.
However, Jordan revealed on talkSPORT that he could see the 46-year-old completing a full takeover of the club in the near future.
He said: “I would suspect this is a precursor to this guy owning the football club. It’s very similar [to Arsenal]. [Stan] Kroenke took a position in Arsenal.
“West Ham are in decent nick. West Ham right now are going great guns because ‘they’re massive’.
“It’s incredibly advantageous to have someone of this ilk in the business.”
Interesting stuff from Jordan.
Kroenke bought an initial stake in the Gunners in 2007 and then in 2018, he completed a full purchase of the club [Evening Standard].
So, you can see why Jordan compares the two situations here.
There was an initial claim from Sky Sports that Kretinksy could complete a full takeover of the Irons at some point in the future.
So, Jordan’s prediction might very well become true.

The only thing you can hope is that Kretinsky proves to be a lot more popular than Kroenke and makes a lot better decisions if he does eventually complete a full takeover.
Certainly, all of the signs seem to be pointing in that direction, so we will have to see what happens in the next few months and how the new power dynamic works, but Jordan could be 100% spot on, and we could be looking at the next majority owner of West Ham.
In other West Ham news, James Tarkowski is keen on joining the Irons in January.
