Sherwood mocks Lopetegui on Sky Sports amid West Ham sack decision
Tim Sherwood mocked West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui when asked about his Fantasy Premier League team.
The former Aston Villa manager doesn’t seem to be pleased with how his FPL team have performed this season, taking a sly dig at the Spanish head coach in the process, who’s already under pressure at the Hammers.
Speaking on Sky Sports [7 December, 13:11], Sherwood said: “Lopetegui at the moment, and Gary O’Neil, I’m in a bit of a hole and I need to find the solution. I’m going to give it my best, and I keep trying. But unfortunately, you can’t get the points.
“I had more points, two weeks ago, on the bench than on my pitch. That says it all.”
There have been questions about Lopetegui’s future recently, but he has been given another chance by the hierarchy and is set to be in the dugout for the Wolves clash on 9 December [Fabrizio Romano, 5 December].

The Irons have had a poor start to the season, winning just four games in the Premier League and hovering around the relegation zone.
Results haven’t gone the East London club’s way lately, and the London Stadium faithful have had to witness some of the worst football in the English top flight.
Lopetegui has struggled to bring the best out of the talented squad at his disposal, showcasing his ineptitude.
West Ham fans have been clear about their feelings towards the Spaniard, chanting for his sacking during the 3-1 loss at King Power on 3 December in the league.
The Hammers’ hierarchy can’t delay the inevitable and must part ways with the 58-year-old before things worsen.
Wolves fighting their own battle in the relegation zone, and a win over them wouldn’t mean much to make a case for Lopetegui’s continuity.
The mood around London Stadium is sour, and the only way David Sullivan can pull the ship back to its trajectory is by sacking the Spanish head coach.
