Sean Dyche makes Gianluca Scamacca and Kevin De Bruyne comparison, but warns West Ham United fans
Sean Dyche believes Gianluca Scamacca’s start at West Ham is similar to Kevin De Bruyne’s at Manchester City.

But while the Italian forward is already racking up goals in east London, David Moyes is still hesitant to start him in every game.

It’s led to some fans growing frustrated at the Scot, but Dyche has urged Hammers fans to keep patience with their new signing as he reminds him of Manchester City star De Bruyne.
“I’ve only seen him this season. He’s a big physical presence, a great goal against Wolves and scoring in Europe,” Dyche told Sky Sports, as quoted by Hammers News.
“He’s one that will grow into things at West Ham I would imagine.
“It takes time [to adjust]. The top players take time. I remember De Bruyne going over to Man City for £50 million and he didn’t play every week. The Premier League is different, there’s no two ways about it, we had that with Maxwel Cornet. The pace, the physicality, the feel is different.”
No problem
After enduring years with just one striker in the squad, there’s no fanbase more accustomed to having patience than the West Ham faithful.
Michail Antonio shouldered the scoring responsibility season-upon-season at the London Stadium, so Scamacca’s arrival was met with a lot of excitement and relief.

He’s started his Hammers career on fire, but fans won’t have an issue with remaining realistic with their expectations. After all, Scamacca has plenty of room to grow at just 23 years old.
Of course, there is some frustration when Moyes benches Scamacca or brings him off when chasing a lead, but the West Ham fanbase is firmly behind the Scotsman and his decisions.
Despite a poor start to the season, Moyes stuck to his guns and brought through his new signings slowly to allow them to settle. It’s a decision that is now being rewarded, with Scamacca, Lucas Paqueta and Thilo Kehrer all quickly becoming key players in the starting lineup.
