Roy Keane and Ian Wright thrilled by West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek
Roy Keane and Ian Wright waxed lyrical about West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek during coverage of England v Czech Republic on Tuesday evening.
The 26-year-old was gearing up for his national side’s crunch clash with The Three Lions at Wembley, knowing a point would secure top spot in their Euro 2020 group.
Kean and Wright, speaking on ITV [22/06/21], spoke glowingly of the Irons star in the build-up to the match.

“He is a hell of a player, a proper old-fashioned, box-to-box midfielder,” Keane said.
“He’s got a goal in him and he’s had a good season at West Ham. I bet David Moyes is delighted with him.
“He’s very good at attacking the ball and getting goals but also at set-pieces, he is an excellent player and a good old-fashioned central midfielder, I love to see it.”
Wright added: “His stamina and energy is unbelievable.”

Soucek came in and did a superb job when he arrived midway through the 2019/20 campaign, scoring three goals in 13 Premier League appearances.
But he took on an even more important role during his first full season at the club, scoring 10 league goals to help inspire us to a sixth-placed finish which secured Europa League qualification.
He’s taken that form to the European Championship, driving his Czech Republic side to a victory past Scotland before gaining a valuable draw against Croatia.
He lined up against his partner in crime Declan Rice at Wembley on Tuesday, as the pair prepared to do battle.
We’re excited to see them reunited at the start of next season, where we will embark on a European campaign.
In other West Ham news, a transfer insider has claimed that this Irons star is eyeing ‘an Extraordinary’ exit this summer.
