Roman Yaremchuk drops West Ham hint on social media

Roman Yaremchuk has been spotted liking a West Ham post about Irons midfielder Declan Rice on his official Instagram account.

The Hammers have looked at the 25-year-old striker who currently plays for Gent, and while this Instagram activity doesn’t necessarily mean anything, it does indicate that the Ukrainian is at least intrigued by West Ham.

Yaremchuk had a strong season in the Belgian top-flight and scored 17 goals, and he carried that form into the Euros for his country as he scored two goals and provided an assist.

Yaremchuk’s Instagram activity mean anything?

It does seem odd that a Ukrainian international who has no ties to West Ham now follows them on Instagram and has liked one of their posts about Declan Rice.

However, we wouldn’t read too much into it at this stage, but now that the Euros are finished, perhaps it could be something to keep an eye on as the transfer window progresses.

If West Ham are actually interested in signing the 25-year-old, he could be just what they need, considering Calciomercato’s report that he is expected to cost between 25million Euros and 30m Euros [£21.4-25.6million].

He could also provide competition for Michail Antonio and provide David Moyes with another striker who he could use in the Europa League or in the cup games.

So, there are a lot of positives to Yaremchuk, and his Instagram activity suggests he is at least interested in a potential move to the London Stadium.

We will have to see if anything comes of it, but Yaremchuk could be a good addition to the Hammers.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers have shut down links with £16m-rated defender.
