Robbie Savage predicts result of West Ham United v Nottingham Forest London Stadium showdown

Robbie Savage has predicted the result of the Premier League meeting between West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

David Moyes’s side welcome Steve Cooper’s men to the London Stadium in league action on Sunday (12 November).

The Hammers currently occupy 12th place in the Premier League table, one point and one place ahead of their next opponents.

Predicting West Ham to win 2-1, Savage told TEAMtalk: “While their home form kept them up last season, since the start of last season no team has lost more games in the Premier League away from home than Nottingham Forest – 17.

“I think this will be 18. West Ham at home are good. I think they need to win under Moyes. Therefore I think both teams will score but West Ham will win.”

Home win incoming?

Many people may have been predicting Forest to struggle this season under Cooper, but they have once again been putting up a fight.

But their best displays have unfortunately been saved for their home fans, meaning they could have a tough time in East London.

The Hammers have only just won in front of their own supporters, defeating Greek side Olympiacos 1-0 in the Europa League group stages on Thursday (9 November).

The West Ham faithful will be confident of another victory on home soil against Forest, but it certainly won’t be straightforward.

The visiting side may just rely on fatigue levels, with Hammers stars Lucas Paqueta, James Ward-Prowse, Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen all featuring heavily on Thursday.

They are all likely to play from the start once again on Sunday, with tiredness perhaps kicking in as the match progresses. The home side could certainly do with a league win given their poor run of form in the competition lately.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers will be impacted by a potential Premier League rule change, with a vote impending.
