Richard Keys rages at Tomas Soucek controversy after West Ham United incident v Chelsea
Richard Keys has raged at the controversy involving West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek in their clash against Chelsea.
Blues midfielder Enzo Fernandez missed a first-half penalty in the Premier League encounter at the London Stadium on Sunday (20 August).
But the pundit believes the penalty should have been retaken due to encroachment from Hammers midfielder Tomas Soucek.

Mentioning the Professional Game Match Officials Limited, Keys posted on Twitter: “Don’t know why that Chelsea pen wasn’t re-taken. Soucek is encroaching. His foot is on the line and he’s first to the ball.
“Paul Tierney has had a bad weekend. Collectively they all have.”
Controversial moment
There have been plenty of controversial moments already in the Premier League this season, with not even two rounds of fixtures completed.
Officials have been at the centre of it all for their apparent failure to notice obvious errors, while VAR has constantly been in the limelight once again.
Soucek was right on the edge of the box as Fernandez was striking his penalty, which West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola impressively kept out.
The Czech Republic international’s actions will no doubt be analysed in the days to come, but the Hammers really won’t be paying too much attention to all the incoming noise.
Manager David Moyes will be more worried about preventing such situations in the first place, with Soucek conceding the spot-kick thanks to his silly challenge on Raheem Sterling.
The midfielder was let off the hook by his goalkeeper, who produced a top save to stop the strike from the 2022 World Cup winner.
In other West Ham news, Alan Pardew has shared a “surprised” verdict regarding a “brilliant” new Hammers player while speaking live on talkSPORT.
