Richard Keys hits out at Karren Brady amid Lopetegui sack decision at West Ham
Julen Lopetegui is unlikely to remain as the West Ham United head coach beyond their FA Cup clash with Aston Villa on Friday, according to Richard Keys.
The beIN Sports host showed no mercy to the Irons as he branded them as an “ordinary bottom-half team” amid their descent under Lopetegui.
He went on to hit out at “clever” Karren Brady, who is mooted to have had a pay rise in the last financial year, for undoing David Moyes’ good work at the London Stadium.
“What are the odds on Lopetegui getting the sack after the cup tie at Villa? I’d say pretty good”, Keys wrote in his personal blog (6 January).
“The Hammers are once again no more than they’ve always been – an ordinary bottom-half team.
“What a shame clever Karen and co have thrown away all [of] David Moyes’ good work.”
Karren Brady pushes for Lopetegui replacement at West Ham
Meanwhile, Brady is probably involved in talks over whether or not to sack Lopetegui immediately.
The Times reported on 6 January that the Hammers have decided to part ways with the Spanish tactician, although they are yet to make an official announcement.
They have offered the head coach role to Graham Potter until the end of the season and are perhaps waiting until he makes a decision to sack Lopetegui.
It recently emerged that Brady is among those who are pushing for the East London outfit to replace Lopetegui with Potter [TBR Football].
It appears the vice-chairman has realised the decision to hire the former Sevilla boss has backfired and is seemingly keen to turn things around as soon as possible.

Keys, though, is likely to continue his criticism of Brady. He notably blasted the West Ham board member in his last blog post on 31 January as well.
He has not shied away from making his disappointment towards the Irons clear after they parted ways with Moyes at the end of the last season.
In other West Ham news, the Irons are holding talks over signing this Premier League ace on loan.
