Report: West Ham offered Serie A star
Although West Ham United are yet to sign an outfield player this month, there have been plenty linked with the club, and most of them central midfielders.
It’s clear that the Hammers need some more additions in the middle of the park, with David Moyes being hugely reliant on Declan Rice and Mark Noble at the moment.
It’s for that reason that the east London outfit are being linked with all and sundry in central midfield at the moment.
The latest player is AC Milan star Franck Kessie. Claret & Hugh reported on Wednesday that Moyes has been offered the chance to sign the Ivory Coast international on loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old is thought to be keen on a move to England, and his representatives have been sounding out clubs in the Premier League.
The youngster has been a regular once again for the Milan club this campaign, playing 17 times.
Would Kessie be a good signing for the Hammers?
He certainly would be. This is a young man who has been performing in Serie A at a very high level for a number of years now.
He’s been linked with West Ham a few times now, so there’s surely something there. The team undoubtedly needs a new central midfielder, and Kessie seems the best option of anyone who’s been linked with the Irons.
He’s young enough, too, that he’s going to continue to improve in the years to come, as well. Truly, this would be a fantastic deal for the east London club.
In other West Ham news, a reliable source has claimed that a young Hammers star has loan offers from two clubs this month.
