Report shares why David Moyes handed Jeremy Ngakia minutes v Crystal Palace
West Ham United defender Jeremy Ngakia was given 30 minutes against Crystal Palace on Saturday and even scored in the 2-1 victory.
Claret and Hugh reported that he was given a run-out by David Moyes just in case he is needed for the Premier League restart.
The Hammers defender has rejected a new deal at the London Stadium, and as it stands is currently set to leave at the end of June.
Ngakia is eligible to feature against both Wolves and Tottenham, but if he doesn’t sign a new deal, he will leave after that.
The 19-year-old has impressed since breaking through this season and Moyes has even shared his disappointment at his decision not to sign a new deal.
With Ryan Fredericks and Pablo Zabaleta available to Moyes, it seems unlikely that Ngakia will be needed unless he signs a new deal.
It has already been reported by the Telegraph that a number of Premier League clubs are interested in the youngster, with two Bundesliga clubs even placing offers on the table.
Claret and Hugh have already reported that the Hammers won’t be giving up on the youngster until he leaves the London Stadium, and they have two weeks to change his mind.
We will be given an insight into the plans of both the Irons and Ngakia in the two upcoming games with Wolves and Spurs. If he is given an extended role, it could be a hint that he is set to stay around, we wait and see.
