Report shares if West Ham United likely to bring back Nottingham Forest attacker Jesse Lingard in summer transfer window
West Ham are reportedly unlikely to bring Jesse Lingard back to the club with his deal at Nottingham Forest running out at the end of the season.
According to Six Foot Two [16 May], the 30-year-old would demand big wages if he does not sign a new contract at the City Ground.
The Englishman played for the Hammers on loan two seasons ago and played a pivotal role in guiding them to Europa League qualification.
Not needed
The Lingard links never seem to go away and it does not seem like the club are even considering making a move for him.
He did not do his part to push an exit during his Manchester United days even when he knew that he would barely get game time there.

At the London Stadium, he would’ve been a key player and started week in and week out but he made his bed and regretably slept in it.
His tenure at Forest has proven that he’s no longer got that hunger and desire and the Hammers have signed players in his position so they can move on.
With Declan Rice leaving, they will have plenty of funds to reinvest in the squad and that’s where their focus should be.
It’s understood that West Ham see Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as Rice’s replacement and if they want him at all costs, then he’s certainly not going to come cheap.
