Report: Midlands club looking to sign West Ham man for £10m
There’s no doubt that West Ham United winger Grady Diangana’s time on loan at West Bromwich Albion this season has been a spectacular success.
The 21-year-old has scored five times and provided five assists for Slaven Bilic’s promotion-chasing side.
There has been constant chatter about the Hammers potentially bringing the youngster back to the London Stadium, but it now looks like the Baggies are trying to eliminate that possibility for good.
Indeed, The Sun reported on Wednesday that the Midlands club are readying a £10million move to sign Diangana permanently.
It’s said that the Irons are willing to part with the winger to help raise funds, with West Brom ideally positioned to do a deal.
The east London outfit, on the other hand, are said to have enquired about Queens Park Rangers winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, but will have to make a huge offer to get a deal done.
Why would West Ham let Diangana go?
This is a difficult question to answer, because it would make no sense whatsoever. Diangana has been phenomenal this campaign, so what would be the point of selling him?
Plus, he’s a young, English winger who would surely command more than just £10million. You’d be asking for at least double that, surely.
In addition, there’s no reason to try and sign Osayi-Samuel when the Hammers already have Diangana. Honestly, none of this makes sense.
In other West Ham news, the club have reportedly prepared a second bid for a Champions League right back.
