Report: Mark Noble set to be offered new West Ham contract

West Ham United are set to offer a new contract to midfielder Mark Noble, according to Claret and Hugh.

The Irons skipper has been rarely used this season, with Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek preferred in midfield by David Moyes.

Noble is coming to the end of his career but is set to extend his stay at the London Stadium past this season.

According to the reliable source, Noble’s new deal is said to include appearances bonuses and a new backroom role.

The veteran will take up a position in the coaching staff, as well as being used as a rotation option within the squad for Moyes.

It is said that Noble would reject the chance to leave the club, whether that be permanently or on loan in this window or the summer.

Noble will always have a massive impact at the London Stadium, whether from the bench or not even in the squad at all.

The Hammers legend is adored by everyone at the club, and Moyes knows that.

It has been a quiet season for Noble, who has only started three games in the Premier League, coming off the bench five times.

Noble will be all-but-certain to lead the side in the FA Cup on Monday against Stockport, in what could be his next appearance before putting pen-to-paper on a new deal.

The midfielder is irreplaceable, and this could be a masterclass from everyone involved at the club – his effect can not be understated.
