Report: Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic could cost West Ham only £13m
West Ham could get Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic for cheaper than they previously thought.
According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, the Italian side are now asking for a fee in the region of £13million and £17million to part ways with the defender.
Likened to former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, the ‘Extraordinary‘ Milenkovic has only a year left on his contract and is desperately looking for a move away from Florence this summer.

While West Ham are known suitors and even opened talks to sign the player last week [Rudy Galetti]. It was then understood that Fiorentina wanted at least £21million for his services.
However, the player’s preference is understood to be Juventus and he is keen on joining the Old Lady this summer.
Not good news
It’s not going to be easy competing with the stature, pull and financial muscle of Juventus. The Italian side will offer the player Champions League football, a better salary, and the opportunity to play alongside some of the world’s best players.
Most up and coming players in the Serie A want to play for the Turin outfit at some stage in their career and we’re fearing that Milenkovic may have reached that stage.

What works in our favour is that so far there is no interest from Juventus and all the links have been fabricated by Milenkovic’s entourage.
Juventus could be interested should Merih Demiral or Daniel Rugani leave this summer, but as of now, they’re not looking at the Serbian as an option.
This leaves us in a solid position to capitalise on this and further progress talks in order to bring the 23-year-old to the London Stadium this summer.
Milenkovic would instantly be an upgrade on our current crop of centre-backs and would bring the much-needed solidity in defence.
The Serbian is a good passer and equally prolific in the air, making him a good modern-day defender.
