Report: Aaron Cresswell fully fit for Fulham clash after worrying West Ham moment
West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell is fully fit for the upcoming Premier League clash against Fulham.
The Irons player was pictured with what looking like a groin problem in the 2-1 defeat against Liverpool and could have been classed as a doubt.
Claret and Hugh have put an end to those rumours though, claiming that Cresswell will be in training all week before the London derby.
That report shares that the Hammers will actually have a fully-fit squad to choose from apart from Michail Antonio.
It is suggested that Issa Diop will remain on the bench due to Fabian Balbuena’s recent rise in form, with only two changes possible.
Said Benrahma is being considered for a start against the Cottagers, and Andriy Yarmolenko could replace Sebastien Haller.
Haller struggled against Liverpool and was often a picture of frustration when things didn’t go his way against the champions.
Cresswell boost
Ever since Moyes switched to a five-at-the-back formation, Cresswell has been the one player to move into the middle of defence.
Not only does that benefit the side as the experienced defender doesn’t have to face tricky wingers, but it also gives Arthur Masuaku the chance in his preferred wing-back role.
Defensively, Cresswell put in his best performance of the season against Liverpool.
The 30-year-old not only won four aerial battles according to WhoScored, but he also completed five tackles, four interceptions, and five clearances – massive numbers.
Cresswell appears to be benefitting massively from his change in position, and thankfully, that isn’t going to be interrupted with an injury.
