Reliable club source: West Ham mainstay remains doubtful for Aston Villa clash
West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen is doubtful for the final Premier League game of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Claret and Hugh have reported that the Hammers forward remains fifty-fifty to make the clash after hobbling off in towards the end of the 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
Bowen has been a revelation since moving to the London Stadium, with David Moyes clearly a big fan of the former Hull City man who arrived in January.
The reliable club source have shared on their website that Bowen took a kick to his leg, and that was why he was replaced by Andriy Yarmolenko.
Bowen was in for treatment at Rush Green on Thursday afternoon, with the Irons keeping their fingers crossed that he can finish the campaign on the pitch.
With Felipe Anderson also only fit enough for the bench at Old Trafford, Moyes could be short on options for the clash with Villa, which could have massive implications over their top-flight status next season.
Anderson was unused in Manchester and may need to step up to fill the big void left by Bowen in the Hammers’ squad on Sunday.
Bowen has been phenomenal since joining with only Michail Antonio averaging more shots on goal per game according to WhoScored. On top of that, only Robert Snodgrass has completed more key passes per outing this season.
Not only is Bowen dangerous himself, but he is creating many chances for his teammates, and he will only get better next season.
