Reliable club source details why Robert Snodgrass missed West Ham clash v Wolves
West Ham United enjoyed a disastrous restart to the Premier League season on Saturday, losing 2-0 against Wolves at the London Stadium.
It was a slow first-half in East London before goals from Raul Jiminez and Pedro Neto took it away from the Hammers.
There were some questionable decisions made by David Moyes, with Sebastien Haller and Pablo Fornals not starting after the weeks of training.
Robert Snodgrass was another who missed out completely though against Wolves, and his absence has been explained by ExWHUemployee.
“Something wrong with his back,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.
The reliable club source responded to a fan who claimed that the Irons had missed the Scotsman’s work rate and attitude.
The 32-year-old missing out led to a struggle in the final third as the Irons didn’t create much to replace his five assists.
Snodgrass has made a great impact at the London Stadium this season despite many predicting that he may be one of the faces to leave over the summer last year.
Moyes has favoured the former Leeds man in a playmaker role as well as out wide, and that has been reflected in his ability to not only set up goals but find the back of the net himself.
Snodgrass’ 10 goal involvements are already three more than last season, and hopefully, he will get the chance to add to them between now and the end of the campaign.
