Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr sends one-word message to West Ham United ace Lucas Paqueta

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has sent a one-word message to West Ham star Lucas Paqueta after the midfielder’s goal against SC Freiburg.

David Moyes’ side advanced to the last eight of the UEFA Europa League after thrashing Freiburg 5-0 at the London Stadium on Thursday (14 March).

West Ham went into their second-leg clash 1-0 down but quickly found themselves on level terms when Paqueta opened the scoring in the ninth minute, the 26-year-old diverting the ball into an empty net at the far post following Aaron Cresswell’s corner which was flicked on.

After the match, Paqueta took to his personal Instagram account (14 March) and posted a series of photos of himself celebrating, with the caption, “Glory and honour to you Jesus! Classified, the dream continues”.

Among the various comments was one of European football’s biggest stars and Paqueta’s international teammate, Vincius Jr, who commented, “Craque” which is translated to “ace” or “expert” and is used in Brazil to refer to a star footballer.

West Ham will hope Lucas Paqueta is playing his football at the London Stadium next season

It was a wonderful European night for the Hammers, with several of their top players performing to a high level, including Mohammed Kudus who netted twice, with his first strike a real wonder goal.

As for Paqueta, it was just another day at the office for the Brazillian, with West Ham fans becoming accustomed to their midfielder’s dazzling displays.

It is the kind of form which will perhaps be capturing the attention of Europe’s elite, as Vinicius’ comment on Paqueta’s Instragam post demonstrates.

After a failed move to Manchester City last summer, supporters at the London Stadium will certainly feel nervous that the vultures might come circling again this summer.

Lucas Paqueta has been vital for West Ham United since his arrival

Vinicius’ comment could suggest that the winger might even be tempted to have a word with Real Madrid chiefs himself about the possibility of bringing Paqueta to La Liga in a move which would certainly be difficult for the playmaker to turn down.

Whatever happens, Hammers fans will just be keen to continue enjoying Paqueta’s fine performances while he is still in a West Ham shirt.
