Real Madrid rule out transfer for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice amid Arsenal links

Real Madrid have reportedly ruled out making a move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice as he’s given his word to Arsenal.

According to talkSPORT [27 January], the rich Champions League outfit have had an interest in the England international for a while but have admitted defeat in the race to sign him.

This is after it’s been understood that he’s already Emirates Stadium bound amid links with Chelsea and Manchester United.

There’s a very good chance of Rice being one of the biggest Premier League signings of all time and he certainly deserves it.

At 22, he’s already shown the kind of maturity someone at their peak would and he’s shown West Ham tons of consistency.

No Hammers fan is going to hate him for his decision to leave as the Hammers have not lived up to his expectations.

They have finished in the European places two seasons in a row but despite spending millions in the summer, they have regressed instead of going in the other direction.

David Moyes also perhaps needs to leave as he’s taken this club as far as he could and a new manager is needed with fresh ideas.

This squad has the potential to be rebuilt with the money they get from Rice’s sale and it remains to be seen if Moyes is still in charge for that.
