Ray Parlour shares ‘tough’ verdict ahead of West Ham United showdown v Nottingham Forest
Ray Parlour believes the West Ham United v Nottingham Forest Premier League clash at the City Ground on Saturday will be a “tough” one for Julen Lopetegui’s men.
The Hammers are coming off the back of a stellar 2-1 win over Manchester United and will be looking to add another three points to their top-flight total.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (1 November, 08:14am), Parlour shared his thoughts on the Hammers’ chances against Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.
“That’s a big game this weekend, I mean that’s a tough one for West Ham,” he said.
West Ham United need to win against Nottingham Forest
While most of West Ham’s squad will be highly motivated to put in another solid performance after their surprise victory over the Red Devils, it’s hard to tell whether Lopetegui’s men will live up to expectations.
The Hammers’ 2024/25 season has been quite topsy-turvy, they currently find themselves 13th in the Premier League and even though they’re ahead of teams such as Man United and Everton, it still feels like a lot more could come from some of their players.
Espirito Santo’s men have been quite a surprise package themselves this term and are seventh in the league and have 16 points to their name.

Forest have beaten teams such as Liverpool already this season and will no doubt be looking to add another win to their record.
Only time will tell what the future has in store for the Hammers but one thing is for sure, they’ll have to be on top of their game to get anything from the clash and, if they lose, the scrutiny surrounding Lopetegui’s job could end up resurfacing.
In other West Ham news, Frank McAvennie has told Julen Lopetegui to start Crysencio Summerville against Nottingham Forest.
