Ray Parlour makes score prediction live on talkSPORT ahead of West Ham United clash v Manchester United
Ray Parlour has predicted West Ham to draw with Manchester United when the sides meet on Saturday (23 December).
Speaking on talkSPORT on Friday (22 December), the pundit said it is an “interesting” game to call after the Hammers put in a “poor” performance in the 5-1 defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday (21 December).
He admitted that he originally had the Red Devils down to win the match, but he has now changed his mind, instead predicting a 1-1 draw and Jarrod Bowen to score at the London Stadium.
“This is an interesting game to call,” said Parlour. “West Ham were poor in the week against Liverpool. I know they changed a few players, but it wasn’t a great performance. The London Stadium, they had a good result here in their last game against Wolves.
“Manchester United, you just don’t know what you’re going to get from Manchester United. I had them down to win at one stage, but in my mind, I’ve gone for a 1-1 draw and Bowen [to score].”
Reaction needed
The West Ham fans are going to be demanding a reaction following the shocking result against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup quarter-final at Anfield.
The decision by David Moyes to make six changes to his starting lineup was met with great disappointment by the supporters as he passed up the chance to try and reach the final four of a domestic competition.
Man United come into the game in indifferent form this season and the Hammers will be confident that they can pick up a result at the London Stadium.

But the Irons do still need to be wary of the Red Devils as Erik ten Hag does still have plenty of quality at his disposal ahead of the clash.
Moyes will be looking for Bowen to continue his superb form, having registered 12 goals and four assists in 22 appearances this season.
