Potter ‘given major Sullivan backing’ as Tramontano confirms West Ham arrival
Graham Potter is still awaiting his first signing of the summer at West Ham United, but there has been an appointment behind the scenes.
West Ham have been linked with numerous names, including Adama Bojang.
However, West Ham’s PSR concerns are believed to be holding up potential additions.
Nevertheless, this has not stopped the London club adding to their backroom staff as Antonio Tramontano has joined the Hammers.

Antonio Tramontano becomes Italian Market Observer at West Ham
West Ham have made multiple changes to their backroom staff over the last 12 months, with Potter the latest manager at the London club.
In order to help him with signings, West Ham have recruited Tramontano as an Italian Market Observer.
Tramontano had previously worked as the chief scout at Fiorentina and has also worked at FC Lugano and Virtus Entella, as well as the Italian Football Federation.
Now, he will take on a new challenge at the London Stadium to help bring in potential signings. He will work closely with Kyle Macaulay, who was brought in by Potter – meaning a show of faith from David Sullivan.
Tramontano announced his own arrival at West Ham on LinkedIn last week.
He said: “I am pleased to share that a few weeks ago I embarked on a new professional challenge as an Italian Market Observer for West Ham United FC.
“Joining a club with such a prestigious history, protagonist in one of the most fascinating and competitive leagues in the world such as The Premier League, is a source of great pride and motivation for me.
“I am grateful for this opportunity and determined to give my best contribution, continuing to grow and face new challenges in a context of the highest level.”

Tramontano is a show of faith from Sullivan
Potter has been backed little since he moved to the London Stadium. This has resulted in poor results, with the pressure mounting on the Englishman.
As a result, West Ham have even been tipped to be relegated from the Premier League this season due to their struggles.

With no signings in sight, the addition of Tramontano could be seen as a show of faith from Sullivan towards Potter.
With the West Ham’s owners unable to back the manager in the market at present, they are able to show their support for Potter through backroom staff signings.
Hopefully, Tramontano’s arrival will be quickly followed up with incomings for the first team before the new 2025/26 Premier League campaign begins.
