Piers Morgan wants Arsenal to sign West Ham ace Declan Rice
Arsenal are much closer to securing Champions League football next season than West Ham going purely off the current league table.
But despite their top-four position, the Gunners will have ambitions of returning to their status as challengers for the Premier League title and one of the Hammers’ best might be able to help them.
That is the view of famous Arsenal supporter and controversial opinion-spreader Piers Morgan who named Declan Rice among three current Premier League players he wants his side to sign in the summer.
Morgan, via his personal Twitter account, said: “Arsenal should sign Cristiano Ronaldo, Gabriel Jesus and Declan Rice. Then we can compete for the League again.”
The Gunners are the visitors to the London Stadium on Sunday having had the full week off while David Moyes’ Irons will have to recover quickly from their Europa League semi-final first-leg against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.
Get a grip, Piers
Morgan is well known for spouting some absolute garbage at times but this is bordering on insanity.
Arsenal were never and will never be in the race to sign Rice from us and if the 23-year-old does ever leave, it will be for a genuine top club, not one who thinks they are because they won a few pots back in the 1990s and 2000s.

We might need to send a specialist over to Morgan’s place of residence though suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo would leave Manchester United in favour of The Emirates.
He’ll never play for another English club given his affinity to the Red Devils so to even suggest such a thing is barbaric.
The only chance they might have is with Gabriel Jesus but that is because he is significantly worse than the other two options he suggests.
Unless Arsenal suddenly have £150million lying around to throw at West Ham for Rice, there is more chance of Morgan himself partnering Granit Xhaka in midfield.
In other West Ham news, some of Europe’s biggest clubs could be lining up a shock move for the Hammers defender in the summer.
