Paul Merson predicts West Ham clash against Spurs
Paul Merson has backed West Ham United to pick up another win against Spurs this weekend in the Premier League.
The Sky Sports panellist has predicted that it will finish 2-1 at the London Stadium, with consistency a real factor.
West Ham won again in Europe this week against Genk, while Spurs crashed to defeat at Vitesse – not the best look.

Writing in his Sportskeeda predictions column this week, Merson backed the Irons to pull out another win from the bag.
“This is a big game and I’m predicting West Ham to win at home,” he wrote. “In my opinion, they are a better team than Tottenham Hotspur because they are more consistent and dig in more in the bigger games.
“If David Moyes manages to keep everyone fit over the course of the season, West Ham will finish above Spurs.
“Spurs got a good result against Newcastle United in their previous Premier League encounter, but I still feel like West Ham can grind this one out, while on the other hand, I can’t see Spurs doing that consistently throughout the season.”

Big game.
We can’t wait for this one, and there isn’t a better time for it to happen.
Spurs are in a real rut right now, and despite their win at Newcastle last week, that will only paper over the cracks.
Going to Holland in the European Conference League and losing at Vitesse is slightly embarrassing, but that doesn’t tell the full story.
Nuno Espirito Santo left the side that won at Newcastle at home, and they will be raring to go at the London Stadium this weekend.
Consistency is key though, and winning is something that flows through a squad when it is going right – something will be everywhere for the Irons.
Three points is all that matters, fingers crossed for another win.
