Paul Merson predicts the outcome of Wolves v West Ham

West Ham will travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League clash on Saturday.

Ahead of the weekend clash, Paul Merson has predicted yet another victory for the Hammers.

The popular Sky Sports pundit has predicted a 2-1 win for David Moyes’s side on the road.

The Hammers are flying high in the Premier League. They moved to third in the league after beating Liverpool 3-2 in their last game before the international break.

Merson has suggested that West Ham have been ‘outstanding’ this season, and that they now believe they can secure a top-four finish.

The Sky Sports pundit expects them to keep the good run of form going and pick up all three points.

“West Ham have been outstanding this season in the Premier League and are coming on the back of a deserved victory against Liverpool. They are starting to believe they can secure a top-four finish and it just goes to show how far they’ve come under David Moyes,” wrote Merson for SportsKeeda.

“Considering how well West Ham have done so far, these are the games you have to win to secure a UEFA Champions League spot, with all due respect to Wolves. I expect them to get three points once again and keep their good run of form going.”

Top four chances

The Hammers are in red-hot form at the moment. They have qualified for the knock-out rounds in the Europa League, and have reached the quarter-final stages in the Carabao Cup as well.

They have been outstanding in the Premier League as well. They defeated Everton, Spurs, Aston Villa and Liverpool in their last four Premier League games and there is a genuine air of positivity around this place.

Last season, they narrowly missed out on the top-four, but this term they have a very good chance of clinching the Champions League spot.

While the general perception remains that Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City will fight for the title, but the fourth spot is up for grabs.

So far, we have shown great consistency in the league. Wolves away would be a tough game, but we have enough quality to pick up all three points.
