Paul Merson can’t believe ‘crazy’ development that could happen in West ham vs Brentford
West Ham could cause a shock as they prepare for the Brentford clash on Monday.
Brentford are set to travel to face West Ham in a return to Premier League action at the London Stadium after the international break.
Nuno Espirito Santo is preparing for his first home game in charge as Brentford look set to represent a tough test for West Ham in E20.
West Ham fan protests will be on display against Brentford, with a potentially paltry crowd set to watch on at the Olympic Park.
Paul Merson could still face a surprise development in East London as he shares his prediction for the clash with the Bees.

West Ham could move level on points with Brentford
West Ham sacked Graham Potter after a poor spell throughout his tenure in charge of the Hammers.
The claret and blue outfit are one of the favourites for relegation at this stage of the campaign after falling to six defeats in all competitions.
The Irons are sat 19th in the Premier League and will be hopeful of turning things around against Keith Andrews’ side.
Brentford have recently secured a 3-1 win against Manchester United before losing to Manchester City in their last outing.
Should West Ham secure three points against the Bees, they would surprisingly move level on points with their opponents.

Merson has been left shocked by this after predicting the Hammers to secure a 2-1 win in his weekly Sportskeeda column on 17 October.
He said: “Just three points between these two teams, so whoever wins, it’s a massive result at the bottom of the table.
“Brentford haven’t been as bad as West Ham, who have already sacked their manager. But if West Ham win this, they go level on points with Brentford, which is somewhat crazy to think.
“West Ham haven’t won at home since February and I can’t believe I’m still backing them here. I just feel Brentford’s poor run away from home will continue, much to the delight to the Hammers’ fans.”
West Ham could well struggle vs Brentford
Nuno’s men looked good against Everton and then went on to struggle against an excellent Arsenal side.
Brentford pose a completely different threat to those two sides with their ability to play with possession or on the counterattack.
Kevin Schade and Igor Thiago have caused problems for many defences and are likely to do so once again at the London Stadium.
The Hammers have to get their approach spot on if they are to take advantage of the Bees’ frailties.
There are no easy games in the Premier League and Brentford are no different with their unique and practical approach.
