Paolo Di Canio reacts instantly as Sky Sports reveal West Ham United decision on David Moyes future
Paolo Di Canio is “very happy” that David Moyes will continue as West Ham manager, with Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol noting that it “looks like” the boss will continue in the dugout.
Moyes was under pressure earlier in the campaign as the Hammers struggled in the Premier League for the majority of the season.
But Moyes helped guided them to safety before clinching the Europa Conference League trophy with the East London outfit.

“It looks like David Moyes is going to stay at West Ham next season, what do you make of the job he has done?” Solhekol asked Di Canio, as per Sky Sports.
Di Canio replied: “I’m very happy [he’s staying]. He deserves it, because he was in trouble this year we know. Because in the league the team didn’t perform at the level they could.
“The job [he has done] is amazing. But it’s obvious, and even Moyes knows, that next year the team has to perform much better.”

Deserving of another season
The pressure on Moyes not so long ago was immense, with his turnaround perhaps representing one of the greatest comeback stories in the recent history of English football.
The boss looked certain to leave the club earlier this year, with he and his players seemingly not up for the Premier League relegation battle.
But they weathered the storm perfectly, having had to balance their domestic fixtures with their European adventure.
The Hammers were, of course, helped by other struggling clubs in the league, but they did it all on their own in the Europa Conference League, with Moyes helping bring about an unforgettable memory for all those with connections to West Ham.
His future isn’t yet certain, and maybe there is a chance that he wants to leave the London Stadium on a high, but Moyes is certainly deserving of another campaign at the Hammers given what he helped them achieve this season.
