Pablo Fornals raves about West Ham winger Andriy Yarmolenko
Andriy Yarmolenko scored the opening goal for West Ham as the Hammers won 2-1 against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday (13 March) at the London Stadium.
It was an emotional moment for him after he has gone through in recent weeks, with Ukraine currently engaged in a war with Russia.
Pablo Fornals, who scored the second goal for the home side, has showered praise on the 32-year-old forward.

“Yarma has this [quality]. In training, you can see how he is finishing [goals] with both feet. It was an unbelievable goal,” said Fornals to Whufc.com.
“He has always scored goals with precision, so it was the best moment to do it to help us, to help himself and to help his country. We tried to give a bit of emotional support to him.”
Big moment
It is hard for any of us to comprehend what Yarmolenko must have gone through for all these days.
With people in his homeland dying, it’s impossible to think about football at the moment.
He came off the bench to replace Michail Antonio who appeared to have picked up a hamstring injury in the second half.

The Hammers were struggling for a breakthrough although the performance in the second half was a lot better. Yarmolenko scored a truly “unbelievable” goal to give his side the lead in the 70th minute.
After he scored, the forward broke down in tears. West Ham players and the fans gave him strong support, and it was an incredibly emotional moment inside the London stadium.
With Antonio likely to be absent against Sevilla in the return leg, David Moyes will be pinning his hopes on Yarmolenko to deliver once again.
The goal will give him loads of confidence. It was a massive goal for the club, and he played a big part as the club picked up three points to keep their top-four hopes alive.
In other West Ham news, Andriy Yarmolenko lifts the lid on an “emotional” time amid the Ukraine conflict.
