Pablo Fornals claims West Ham can qualify for the Europa League this season

Pablo Fornals has insisted that West Ham United can qualify for the Europa League this season under David Moyes.

The Irons are currently 12th in the Premier League and are sitting four points behind Aston Villa after eight games.

After competing for the majority of games against Liverpool and Manchester City, Fornals believes that European football is a realistic aim.

Fornals claimed that the Irons have made a step up this season, and admitted that there was no harm in believing that anything is possible.

“I think we made a step up, fighting with unbelievable teams in the last few games and for that reason, we are in a comfortable position, but we have enough quality and belief to keep going up the table,” he told the Evening Standard.

“We have to keep dreaming, to keep fighting and working as we are doing, we can arrive in a good position come the end of the season.”

The Spaniard has played in the competition before with Villareal and claimed that is the goal after securing survival at the London Stadium.

David Moyes has found success with his new system this season.

After a tough run at the beginning of this season, the Irons are going into a run of favourable fixtures, starting with Sheffield United this weekend.

The Blades are currently rock-bottom of the Premier League, and these are the games that West Ham need to win if they even want to start thinking of Europe.

After showing heart and determination against the likes of City, Liverpool and Arsenal it is time for the Irons to show more class and domination on the ball.
