‘Nuno Espirito Santo faces West Ham sack already’, Ange Postecoglou’s record could tumble
West Ham are being tipped to brutally sack Nuno Espirito Santo just four weeks into his reign as manager.
On 27 September, West Ham sacked Graham Potter after a poor start to the Premier League season, in which his only win was against Nuno‘s Nottingham Forest when he was in charge at the City Ground.
Nuno was hired to replace Potter later on the same day. However, since taking charge at the London Stadium, the former Tottenham manager has picked up just one point out of the 12 available in four games.
West Ham lost 2-1 to Leeds in the Premier League on Friday night as fans chanted ‘sack the board’ at Elland Road after seeing their side go behind early on.

Tim Sherwood warns Nuno Espirito Santo of premature West Ham sack
Sacking Nuno seems more likely, though, according to ex-Tottenham player and manager Tim Sherwood.
Ange Postecoglou replaced Nuno at Forest and lasted just 39 days before Evangelos Marinaikis sacked the Australian and replaced him with Sean Dyche.
Postecoglou’s sacking meant that he became the shortest-reigning permanent manager in Premier League history.

Sherwood warns Nuno that he could be the unwanted holder of that record very soon if things don’t improve, with the Portuguese currently only 28 days into his time in charge at the London Stadium.
“You can blame the recruitment all you want. Forget about the demonstrations about the ownership, [David] Sullivan and [Karren] Brady – they are going nowhere. Just get on with it if you’re Nuno and try and get the best out of this group,” said Sherwood on Sky Sports News on Saturday.
“The man who took his job at Nottingham Forest, Ange Postecoglou, what did he have? 39 days? How long’s Nuno been there? [28] days? Mate, I wouldn’t hold my breath.
“If he doesn’t get a result soon, they might make another change.”
Who would replace Nuno as West Ham manager if he’s sacked?
Before Potter was sacked, The Telegraph reported that the Hammers could consider a short-term appointment until the end of the season.
West Ham fans were rightly baffled by that suggestion and the board didn’t end up going ahead with it, handing Nuno a three-year contract last month.
If Nuno is sacked at any point this season, whether that’s next week or next year, we reckon that Sullivan will turn to an interim boss so that he can look at a permanent hire next summer.
It’ll be annoying, but that’s just how Sullivan works – he hates making mid-season changes in management.
Slaven Bilic was linked with a return to West Ham before Nuno was hired. He’s the kind of person who probably would be keen on an interim spell in charge at the London Stadium.
