Nuno Espirito Santo could lose staff member already in West Ham blow, he can’t say no
Nuno Espirito Santo is still settling into life as West Ham United manager after being appointed as Graham Potter’s successor a week-and-a-half ago.
Potter was sacked by West Ham after a dreadful start to the 2025-26 campaign, also having done little in the second half of last season upon taking charge himself.
Nuno was appointed by David Sullivan in this latest new era at West Ham, which has so far got off to a slightly underwhelming start.
West Ham drew 1-1 at Everton in what was a creditable result, before going down 2-0 to Arsenal last time out.
West Ham’s loss at Arsenal leaves them second from bottom in the Premier League with seven games of the season played.
And Nuno may have an off-the-field issue to deal with during the international break as one of his backroom staff members could be on the move.

German club want West Ham recruitment chief Maximilian Hahn
Maximilian Hahn was appointed in his current West Ham role in early 2024, but already he may be set to pack his bags at the London Stadium.
Hahn’s official role is as head of technical recruitment and analysis, with that appointment being made under Tim Steidten’s watch.

Now, according to German outlet Bild’s print edition on 7 October, Hahn is wanted by German side Bochum in a slightly different role.
It is claimed that Bochum, who were relegated from Bundesliga last season, have Hahn on their small list of candidates to take over as sports manager.
This is likely considered an upgrade on his current position at West Ham, albeit with Bochum not currently competing in the Bundesliga.

Bochum appointed Uwe Rosler as their new head coach this week and are now padding out other areas of staff.
Who is West Ham staff member Maximilian Hahn?
Hahn is only 29 years of age, yet he still holds what is an important position at West Ham – even if his day-to-day job role is rather unknown.
The German previously held the position as chief analyst before moving into the scouting side of things, meaning he likely has a big say in West Ham transfers.
On the basis of many of the signings over the past few windows, many will question if his loss will even be felt.
It remains to be seen what Hahn will do if indeed approached by Bochum, but he will unlikely be able to say no if offered a more prestige job back in his homeland.
