Nuno Espirito Santo could be set for unwanted Premier League first in West Ham vs Newcastle
Nuno Espirito Santo could not have imagined a worse start as West Ham boss.
West Ham are set to face Newcastle on Sunday in the Premier League at the London Stadium, where Irons fans will be short of patience.
After the full-time whistle, West Ham fans plan to perform a sit-in protest directed at David Sullivan and Karren Brady, where they will refuse to leave the London Stadium.
Nuno will want to keep West Ham in the Premier League, and while there’s no doubt he is a good coach, he is now facing the prospect of an unwanted self-accomplishment in England’s top flight.

Nuno has never lost four in a row in Premier League
When Nuno was appointed, Hammers fans believed that the former Nottingham Forest man could yet save their season.
Nuno showed his quality as Nottingham Forest boss last season, but has been unable to translate his coaching skills over to E20.
Now, after four games in charge and three losses in a row, Nuno faces the possibility of a fourth consecutive Premier League defeat on the bounce for the first time in his career.
| Game | Result |
| Everton vs West Ham | 1-1 Draw |
| Arsenal vs West Ham | 2-0 Loss |
| West Ham vs Brentford | 0-2 Loss |
| Leeds vs West Ham | 2-1 Loss |
Nuno has suffered three losses in a row on six occasions but has never succumbed to four losses.

While at Tottenham, Wolves and Forest, Nuno has found himself in deep waters, and there’s no reason why he can’t still turn things around.
Newcastle is West Ham’s hardest fixture in November
Newcastle beat West Ham last time the sides met in the Premier League at the London Stadium, as the Magpies won 1-0 courtesy of a Bruno Guimaraes second-half strike last season.
In their last six games, Newcastle have only lost once, winning the other five, as they may prove to be the Hammers’ hardest fixture in the month of November.
However, there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Irons next month.
West Ham’s November fixtures after Newcastle clash:
- West Ham vs Burnley (H) 8 November
- Bournemouth vs West Ham (A) 22 November
- West Ham vs Liverpool (H) 30 November
The Burnley game could be where the Nuno era is kickstarted, as an away game against Bournemouth could still be a fixture where the Hammers could pick up a point.
Granted, Liverpool are the champions, but their form is almost as bad as West Ham’s at the moment, and it doesn’t look like Arne Slot is turning things around any time soon.
November could be the month for Nuno to use as a springboard for success.
