Moyes West Ham return chances shared amid Everton development

David Moyes would prefer a return to Everton over West Ham United if the opportunity arose, according to TEAMtalk.

The online outlet reported via their website (30 December) that the Scotsman would be “much more open” to a Goodison Park return than one to the London Stadium.

Julen Lopetegui’s role as manager has been under scrutiny for some time now, especially since the Hammers find themselves 13th in the League.

West Ham United don’t need David Moyes to return

Although change is likely needed at the London Stadium it feels like they’d just be taking a step backwards if they re-hired Moyes for a third spell.

David Sullivan allowed the contract of the former Manchester United boss to run out at the end of last season so that the Hammers could try and explore a new tactical style.

However, that hasn’t quite gone to plan as, since Lopetegui was hired, it’s felt like the former Real Madrid boss hasn’t advanced the performances of the team all that much and has in fact, felt like a bit of a downgrade at times.

Although Moyes’ return would no doubt get fans back on Sullivan’s side, if things went pear-shaped, West Ham would be questioned once again and could end up in an even worse position than where they currently find themselves.

At the moment nothing is set in stone but for now, at least, it doesn’t seem like Moyes will be making a scarcely believable return any time soon.
