Moyes urges West Ham to learn from Leicester City’s success

West Ham boss David Moyes has hailed Leicester City for their success in recent years and has urged the Hammers to learn from them.

The two sides meet this Sunday (February 13) in the Premier League as the Irons travel to the King Power stadium.

Moyes warned his players it will be a ‘tough’ battle despite the Foxes recent poor form in the league.

“I think Leicester have got a really good side. They’ve done unbelievably well. They were FA Cup winners and recently league winners.” The Scot said in his latest press conference.

“Because of the way they’ve built it, over the years, Leicester have been a very good model for teams trying to improve, such as West Ham.

“They’re maybe not quite in the best moment right now. They’re a really strong team, have an excellent manager, and it’ll be a really tough game for us.”

Three points

This should be nothing other than three points gained for the Hammers on Sunday.

West Ham

Leicester are a top team with a great manager and Moyes is right, we could learn a thing or two from them in terms of club structure or transfer policy.

However, this season it is the Foxes who should be learning from us. There is a reason we are in the top four and they are sitting miserably in 12th, we have been miles better.

That is something that needs to be on display on the weekend. Brendan Rodgers’ side have only won two of their last eight games with their last win coming in late December.

This would be a huge statement to the Irons’ fellow Champions League challengers of how serious Moyes and his players are with Leicester being no pushovers, especially away from home.

It is absolutely crucial the pace is maintained.
