Mohammed Kudus already impresses West Ham United teammates after transfer

Dean Jones has claimed West Ham stars have been singing the praises of new arrival Mohammed Kudus, who he predicts has even more to show fans at the London Stadium.

It comes following his cameo appearance from the bench in which he scored a late equaliser against Newcastle [8 October], but the Ghanaian is still yet to make his first Premier League start.

The former Eurosport journalist insisted that Kudus is constantly smiling and positive, happy to be making a difference at his new club, which likely plays a part in how highly rated he is among his new teammates.

Jones spoke to GIVEMESPORT [9 October], where he shared: “We saw him in the mixed zone after the game, and I don’t think I’d ever seen a player so happy to score a goal.

“He just had a massive grin on his face and I think there’s plenty more to come from him. He is very highly thought of by his teammates at West Ham, they are already really impressed with him.

“I spoke to a couple of a couple of West Ham players after the game and they were really singing his praises, even though he hasn’t been given too many chances from the start yet.”

First-team chances will come soon

Still waiting for that first Premier League start, Kudus finds himself in a slightly tricky position. Jarrod Bowen is the main man on the right-hand side, with Lucas Paqueta in the middle, and it is unlikely he will be able to dislodge either of the star men.

Michail Antonio, however, could be the man to make way. Bowen has started as a striker at times for David Moyes this season, which would allow Kudus to take his place on the right wing where he has been so influential in his sparing minutes this season.

With some top performances when he has been given a chance in the Europa League and off the bench in the Premier League, it appears just to be a matter of time until he is given free rein in the first team.

He is clearly a popular character in the changing room already, which is a great sign for his future with the club, and he is only just getting started in his bid to show the London Stadium exactly what he can offer.

In other West Ham news, talkSPORT pundits have mooted a new contract for another key man.
