Mills claims something isn’t right as West Ham man suffers fresh setback

Danny Mills has claimed that something isn’t right with West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere after it was confirmed he would miss the rest of the season.

The Sky Sports pundit even questioned the England international’s genetics but didn’t agree with people claiming it is how he decides to live his life.

Mills claimed it will be tough for both the Irons and the midfielder, as he is clearly talented but isn’t getting the opportunities to showcase that frequently.

“It’s injury after injury after injury for Jack Wilshere,” he told Football Insider.

“I can’t remember the last time he played. It’s difficult.

“It’s tough when the player’s got so much ability, but obviously there’s something that just isn’t quite right, whether that be genetically or whatever it is, and he keeps picking up these injuries. You’d have to say, he’s been at several different clubs, and that’s not changed.”

January signing Tomas Soucek will be given added responsibility in the Hammers midfield and stepped up in each half of the pitch during his debut against Brighton.

The 24-year-old managed to have two shots on goal according to WhoScored, as well as completing five tackles and three interceptions as he impressed massively in the 3-3 draw.

It is hard to suggest that Wilshere will be missed, as he has never really completed a sustained spell in the side during his years at the London Stadium.
