Michail Antonio shares James Ward-Prowse verdict after ‘massive’ West Ham United win v Tottenham
Michail Antonio reacted to the 2-1 win for West Ham against Tottenham as he joked at how James Ward-Prowse scored the winning goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Hammers forward commented how Ward-Prowse will always find a way to provide an assist after his shot rebounded off the post straight into his path to slot into the empty net.
Antonio also praised the rest of the side in what he labelled a “massive” win after securing all three points away from home against their London rivals.

Taking to Instagram following the game [7 December], Antonio wrote: “This man always finds a way to get the assist. Massive win for the boys tonight. COYI.”
Morale is high in the dressing room
Regardless of what you think about Antonio on the pitch, or even off it given his outspoken nature in the media, it’s hard to disagree that the man provides a positive atmosphere to the dressing room. It’s this kind of banter and joking in the positive moments that keeps morale high.
Having a close-knit squad is a crucial part of building a winning mentality at a club, with everybody on the same page, able to laugh when times are good and get behind each other when things get tough, Antonio is likely a key part of that.
Plus, he’s right. That was a massive win for the club, the players and the fans. Taking all three points away from a visit to Tottenham is always a sweet result for the Hammers, and this one will feel even sweeter given the discourse in North London.

Ward-Prowse, meanwhile, continued his incredible record so far this season with his eighth goal contribution in 14 league games so far, leading to high praise even from his teammates.
